“I decided to undertake a Mental Health First Aid course as part of my personal and professional development to better my ability within my role as Supporter Relations Manager and Inclusion Lead at Plymouth Argyle Football Club. As a Club we pride ourselves on a series of vision and values that include excellence, respect and community focus and so taking the time to further my education and ability to help both our customers and staff was something strongly encouraged and supported.
Delivered by LTC Training Services Ltd, the course ran for 2 days and thanks to incredible care and consideration, my group were able to meet in person, whilst adhering to strict Covid restrictions to keep ourselves and others safe.
The training was classroom based and to help us apply what we were learning into practice there are interactive activities, video case studies and a workbook with supporting manual and I found the entire set up very professional, informative and worthwhile. The instructor was welcoming, engaging and fun whilst remaining professional – they encouraged us to ask any questions, share our own thoughts and experiences and I found that the conversation always remained respectful.
I have learnt so much and even with the course discussing difficult topics, it was easy to follow and understand.
With a distinct effort by society to increase awareness of mental health and how we can take better care of it, it is very important to me to be able to add my voice to any cause or campaign with confidence now that I have been appropriately trained as well as enjoying the drive to want to do more.
I feel proud to now be able to call myself a Mental Health First Aider.”

I was particularly interested with the training facilities you have in-house and were able to demonstrate were a great way to ensure all operatives that work for LTC and the people you are training can get a better understanding for scaffolding and able to put what they have learnt in the training into practice. By doing this you are eliminating numerous hazards and risks by not sending them straight to site without any familiarisation.
With the control measures you have in place at the Powered Access yard, I was particularly impressed how you are managing the process of vehicle movement, but with the correct measures you have put in place it de-risks the hazards immensely.
Overall its great to see the amount of effort LTC have put into H&S and collaboration with BAM, thank you again and hope I will be able to work with LTC in the future.

“Last year we were awarded the cladding package of a unique project managed by Interserve for Magnox at Hinkley Point A. The wall cladding was inverted to the extent that the base of the building was around 3m inward, compared to the eaves. After looking closely at the scaffolding package, there was only one contractor that we wanted to use – LTC Specialist Scaffolding Ltd.

Even with the challenges that this highly sensitive site offered them, LTC provided the resources to meet the intricacies of the project whilst maintaining high standards of Health & Safety throughout.
